Head of the Beit Horah’a Haklali (The main beit hora’a of Jerusalem) and chief Rabbi of the Avi Ezri community, Petach Tikvah, israel. Son of Rav Shlomo Hacohen Kook, the Chief rabbi and Head of the rabbinical court of Rechovot. Learned in Yeshiva Be’er Yaakov, where he was a devoted disciple of the Rav Shlomo Wolbe.

For over 20 years, Rav Kook was privileged to serve as a Halacha apprentice (“Shimush”) by the greatest Posek of our generation Maran Rav Yossef Shalom Elyashiv. In the set of books “Tziuney Halacha” which he authored, Rav Kook gave interpretation and solutions to many Halacha issues, based on the teachings of Rav Elyashiv. These books have become fundamental sources of Jewish laws. Rav Kook is a judge and president of the “Mamleches Cohanim” organization, which deals with Cohanim purity issues. He is a president of the empire of chinuch schools “Shuvu”, a member of the rabbinical council for Torah writing under Mifal Hapayis foundation, and a member of the board of Beit Hamussar in Jerusalem.
